Randall's Shopping...Here I Come...

[RandallsTag.JPG]
A couple weeks ago, I told you all about the Randall's Play, Tag, & Save Opportunity around Houston & other Texas locations. In case you missed it, you can read about it here. So today, I went to Randall's to pick up some items for this weekends party and a turkey for Thanksgiving (at $.27 lb, Woohoo!) I normally do not shop at Randall's even though I bring you all the deals each week, but I figured this would be a good time to check it out! I generally shop Randall's when I am on that side of town and need to get something quick.

I have to say that I was quite impressed with the cleanliness of the store today. I guess I have never really paid attention to it before. It was definitely cleaner than the other stores that I frequently shop. I was also greeted by a very sweet girl who was sampling the new Signature Cafe products. She was very informative with the information about the product and when all was said and done she offered me 2 coupons to try the products completely free. I was so excited!

After leaving her, I continued on through the produce section and on to the meat department to pick up my turkey. On my way there, another employee made sure to ask if I needed any help because I guess I looked confused or something. I really felt like I was receiving top notch service and that is very hard to find. After leaving the meat department, I continued on to see the new low prices that Randall's is offering. The prices were very comparable to the other local stores in our area and some were even better. Here are a few of the new price tags that I found as I made my way down each aisle:
Keebler Townhouse Crackers (Flipsides *NEW*) - orig. $4.69 new-$1.99
(not the best pic) Cinnamon Toast Crunch (25 oz) - orig. $5.69 new-$2.99
Randall's Chicken Broth orig. $.88 new-2/$1

All in all, I had a great experience and I was definitely pleased to see the prices reflected other local stores. I will say that I did have a problem with one of the managers at the end of my transaction, but this does not change my feelings toward another shopping trip. I will definitely go back for round 2.

Disclosure: I was given a given a $50 gift card to visit and give my honest thoughts about Randall's. This post is my honest opinion about the product/store represented. My opinion was not swayed by said gift card received.

Thank you for the price posting...it's been a love hate relationship with Tom Thumb for years. (Check the chicken broth picture label before the Safeway police get you ;)

Have a fab day!

Savvy Addy,

Thank you so much for the heads up! I guess that is what I get for having too much on my mind last night. Great eye!
